Sameer Beydoun - Chief Executive Officer
Sameer Beydoun is the founder and CEO of the Metro Property Group. In the midst of the global recession, it was Sameer’s vision that led to the formation of our company. Born and raised in Metro Detroit, Sameer decided to capitalize on the state of the housing market while regenerating the community he loves. Before coming back home to Detroit, Sameer began his career in the cut-throat New York City real estate market. With a keen business sense and hard work, Sameer became one of the top producers in Queens, New York City’s largest borough. This experience gave him the knowledge and skills to make Metro Property Group Detroit’s leader in real estate investment. Under Sameer’s leadership Metro has successfully acquired and retained over 1,000 homes in strategically located neighborhoods of Detroit. Hundreds more have been refurbished and sold to investors across the globe, while providing quality and affordable housing to families in our area. Sameer graduated with a degree in business administration from the University of Toledo where he was a 4 year starter at Defensive Tackle at the Division 1 school. Away from the office, Sameer enjoys spending time with his wife Salwa and their beautiful children Ali and Liliana.
Mike Alaweih - Chief Operating Officer
Mike Alaweih is the Chief Operating Officer at The Metro Property Group. A lifelong resident of Metro Detroit, he has been involved in the local investment property market for over a decade. While expanding his own portfolio, Mike gained the experience needed to ensure our properties are finished to the highest standards. Mike has built strong working relationships with our contractors based on organization and efficiency. The hard work and discipline Mike brings to our staff is rooted in his educational background at Lawrence Technological University. Through his work as an Engineer for the US Department of Defense, Mike has 13 years of experience in Project Management. Today, Mike oversees all of our refurbishments, making sure our homes are fully updated and compliant with Housing and Urban Development guidelines. He still enjoys being active in the gym as well as spending time with his family.
David Makki - Chief Real Estate Officer
David Makki is the Chief Real Estate Officer at The Metro Property Group. His career started at the age of 18 when he bought his first investment home on the Westside of Detroit. He is now a 13 year veteran of the real estate industry, cementing himself as a major power player in the Detroit property scene. Before his current role, David has worked in virtually every aspect of the real estate market including sales, construction, and REO(lender owned) management. As an REO agent for one of the largest real estate offices in the region, David managed hundreds of distressed properties for governmental agencies and financial institutions worldwide. The relationships he has built along the way give Metro Property the upper hand in acquisition, allowing us to select the premium properties in the city. Under David’s direction, the staff at Metro Property has doubled in size since our inception, allowing us to provide the absolute best service to our tenants and clients alike. A proud alumnus of the University of Michigan, David lives in suburban Detroit with his wife Nicole and 3 beautiful daughters, where they are very active in the community.
Ali Baydoun - Chief Sales Officer
Ali Baydoun is the Chief Sales Officer at Metro Property Group. Ali has been with our company since its inception, heading various departments before taking on his current position. The marketing and promotional skills Ali brings to Metro Property were developed while studying at Wayne State University, in the heart of Detroit. Ali is the primary writer for our website, newsletters, business plans, and marketing material. As the current head of our Sales Division, Ali has forged strategic relationships with sales agents worldwide. This has led to a very diverse investor base, representing over 20 countries. Ali also leads our investor tours which are held several times per month. These tours include a presentation in our Executive Headquarters, a tour of our target neighborhoods, and a visit to a refurbishment in progress. He now coordinates the daily tasks for several departments within our organization, ensuring high productivity and efficiency. Ali was raised and currently resides in the western suburb of Dearborn, where he enjoys playing sports and spending time with his family.
Walid Aldeeb - Chief Technology Officer
Walid Aldeeb is the Chief Technology Officer at the Metro Property Group. In this capacity Walid plans, implements and monitors all technological systems and infrastructure for our organization. Walid excelled in his academic career, publishing two papers on vehicle networks on his way to a Bachelors of Science in Computer Engineering and a Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan. Walid began his professional career with one of the largest automotive safety system suppliers in the world. Rising steadily through the ranks, Walid led a team of engineers working directly with Japanese, Korean and American automakers. Our websites, frequented by tenants and investors from around the world, are the product of Walid’s ingenuity and creative mind. His expertise in search engine optimization and web design has made MyMetroProperty.com one of the leading real estate investment websites in the industry. Among Walid’s chief priorities is data protection and security, ensuring the confidential information we are entrusted with is protected. Outside of work he enjoys the outdoors, photography, and, most of all, spending time with his wife and children.
Adam Sabree - Legal Counsel
Adam Sabree is the In-House Counsel at Metro Property Group. Born, raised, and educated in Detroit, Michigan, Adam is deeply rooted in the city and brings to Metro a lifelong commitment to the revival of his hometown. Adam handles the day-to-day legal issues dealing with landlord-tenant, land-use planning, and real estate acquisitions for Metro Property Group. His experience and understanding of the neighborhoods and citizens of Detroit assist him in dealing with tenants in the eviction process. While earning his law degree from Michigan State University College of Law, Adam gained legal experience in the Housing Clinic & Small Business Clinic at MSU Law, studied courses in international business at Doshisha University in Kyoto, Japan, and interned at the Federal Defender’s Office in the Eastern District and Western District of Michigan. Adam is a graduate from Renaissance High School in Detroit, MI, then attended Caldwell College in New Jersey, where he graduated with a business degree in marketing and played 4 years of NCAA basketball. In his spare time, Adam enjoys traveling and spending time with family, and friends.
Karen Andrews - Director of Human Resources
Karen Andrews is the Director of Human Resources at Metro Property Group. Karen is an award-winning executive with expertise in human resources. Recognized as the "Human Resources Executive of the Year" by the American Society of Employers, she has extensive experience in executive coaching and training, human resource strategy, strategic planning, employee rewards/benefits strategies and solutions, change management and organizational design strategy, and executive team building and facilitation. Karen is a graduate of the University of Michigan and Eastern Michigan University, where she serves as an adjunct faculty member teaching professional human resource certification courses. She is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources, and she serves on several Boards, including United Bank & Trust, North Star Reach, Dawn Farm, and the Washtenaw Community College Foundation.
Kathy Messics - Client Care Director
Kathy Messics heads our Client Care department. With over 15 years of experience in this field, Kathy’s people skills and work ethic ensure our clients receive the best client care possible. After graduating with a degree in business from Marietta College she started her career in marketing with the Cleveland Indians, a professional baseball team. Kathy went on to work at Sherwin Williams world headquarters as well as the tech giant Google. Kathy and her husband Jeff are raising three children and spend most of their free time watching them participate in various sporting events.
Omar Ghazzawi - Acquisitions Manager, Licensed Real Estate Agent
Omar Ghazzawi is the Acquisitions Manager at Metro Property Group and a Licensed Real Estate Agent. Omar has more than 10 years of experience in the real estate industry. As a Detroit native, Omar has an extensive passion and knowledge of the local market with an expertise of local neighborhoods and real estate trends. Knowledge, organization and communication are some of the many skills Omar applies to his clients and their transactions. Before joining the Metro Property Group, Omar began his career as a Mortgage Banker for a local mortgage company, where he assisted several families and individuals to obtain financing for home ownership. On a daily basis, Omar works to enhance his quality of life through his focus on health and fitness. Also, Omar enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Yasmin Mallah - Closing Coordinator
Yasmin Mallah is the Closing Coordinator at Metro Property Group. Yasmin has 3 years of experience in the real estate field as well as 2 years of experience as a mortgage processor. Yasmin’s experiences allow her to excel as a closing coordinator as she serves as the liaison person between the purchaser and the title company. Yasmin graduated from Wayne State University where she earned her BS in both biology and psychology. She plans on furthering her education and achieving her Masters degree in the upcoming year. In her spare time, she enjoys vacationing and spending time with family and friends.
Cecil Branch - Construction Project Manager
Cecil R. Branch Jr. is a Construction Project Manager at Metro Property Group. Cecil has more than 18 years experience as a Chief Facilities Engineer/Operations Manager for residential and commercial facilities at multiple locations throughout Metropolitan Detroit. He cost contained millions of dollars through creativity by renegotiating contracts, cross training staff, hands on capabilities and enact for problem-solving. As the maintenance and repair coordinator, he leads, trains, coaches and motivates staff members in order to provide effective and efficient services to the tenants; reviews physical appearance of properties, prepares work orders for repairs and purchases to improve properties appearance as needed, and make recommendations. His extensive educational background includes heating & cooling, electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting, locks, blueprint reading and construction renovations. He also has his State of Michigan Builders License. Cecil lives in suburban Detroit with his wife Felicia and two kids, he enjoys working on cars, drawing and traveling with his family.
Iman Eidi - Construction Project Manager
Iman Eidi is a Construction Project Manager at Metro Property Group. Beside Iman’s strong management and leadership skills, he implements projects under a given financial plan and a strict deadline. Iman holds a B.Sc. in Construction Management from Eastern Michigan University. Furthermore, he is a certified and licensed Michigan Builder. A key talent that Iman brings to the company is hands-on experience in developing innovative system strategies. Iman has a keen interest in new and upcoming technology. In his spare time he likes to spend time with his family and friends.
Stephen Dobbs - Construction Project Manager
Stephen Dobbs is a Construction Project Manager at Metro Property Group. Stephen has 15 years of hands on experience as a licensed builder in the State of Michigan and 5 years experience in facilities management. This has given him the ability to problem solve many issues that arise in the construction field as well as the ability to cut large amounts from budgets through negotiating cost with suppliers. By taking a hands of management approach, he has been able to gain extensive knowledge of electrical, plumbing, finish carpentry, reading blue prints, and all types of renovations, residential and commercial. Stephen was born and raised in the downriver area and is a avid outdoorsman. He loves spending time with his wife and three girls, as well as volunteering at his church.
John Breaugh - Senior Inspector
John Breaugh is the Senior Inspector at Metro Property Group. John is a graduate of Lawrence Technological University, achieving a bachelors degree in Architecture Engineering (BSAE). John continued his education, gaining his masters in business (MBA) from the University of Michigan-Dearborn. Real Estate has always been one of his passions and after a career in the Automotive field, John started an Real Estate Inspection Company, then joined Metro Property Group. John professes that "it's through professional inspections is how we ensure our properties are mechanically sound, pleasing to the tenants, and will endure over time for our clients". John and his wife live in the area along with his two children.
Zainab Jaafar - Rentals Coordinator
Zainab Jaafar is the Rentals Coordinator at Metro Property Group. Zainab has more than four years of experience in the real estate and property management field. Prior to joining the Metro team, she worked for ReMax, where she was in charge of coordinating showings with real estate agents. This background enables Zainab to excel as the Rental Coordinator, overseeing Metro's staff of rental agents efficiently. Zainab is currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice at Madonna University. In her free time, she enjoys spending time traveling with family and friends.
Amer Alzubaidy - Collections and Evictions Manager
Amer Alzubaidy is the Collections and Evictions Manager at Metro Property Group. Amer has been with Metro for over 3 years. He started off as a Field Representative, then merged to Manager of the Collection and Eviction Department. Growing up in the Detroit Metro area helps Amer understand the different situations that tenants come across and communicate with them effectively. Amer is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Marketing Management from Wayne State University, which is located in the heart of Detroit. In his spare time, he enjoys vacations and spending time with family.
Kelli Vaughn - Tenant Care Associate
Kelli Vaughn is a Tenant Care Associate at Metro Property Group. Kelli has over 20 years in customer relations and marketing, and 10 years of property management experience. She has successfully worked in several areas of property management as a leasing specialist, residential manager and currently our section 8 coordinator. In addition, she is very knowledgeable of tax-credit properties and is tax-credit certified by Spectrum. Having obtained a Master's in Business Administration, Kelli uses her knowledge and strong work background to counsel developing businesses in her spare time. She is very passionate about helping to strengthen Detroit and takes pride in any work she does, with her main focus on housing families with Metro Property Group.
Roland Gungab - CPA, Controller
Roland Reyes Gungab is the Controller at Metro Property Group and a licensed Certified Public Accountant. He handles and oversees many of the accounting functions, which includes internal operations, compliance, reporting needs and investor payments. Before joining Metro, Roland worked at an international accounting firm conducting fraud investigation, damages calculations and forensic accounting. Involved in numerous multi-million dollar lawsuits, Roland managed databases and legal matters for General Motors and law firms in the Detroit area. Roland also served in the U.S. Army as a Drill Sergeant with an Honorable Discharge. A graduate of Michigan State University, Roland lives in suburban Detroit with his wife Myla and two beautiful daughters.
Ali Ajami - Accountant
Ali Ajami is an Accountant at Metro Property Group. Ali handles and oversees account functions which include investor financial statements, internal operations, and day to day reporting. Ali received a degree in Accounting Information Systems from Davenport University, where he is currently furthering his education achieving a Master's degree. Ali holds seven years of management experience in family owned businesses, where Ali provided his accounting skills in end of the year financials. On a day to day basis Ali has strongly implanted his passion for fitness and healthy living into his life style. Also, Ali enjoys spending time with his family and friends.
